Stunning and beautiful are the only words to describe the book. I absolutely loved it. The writing and poems were amazing. I remember learning about and making acrostic poems in school, but I don’t think I’ve ever read a poem that has been published outside of the academic setting. The imagery from the poems was just stunning. The pictures were delicate and elegant. They had a rustic, watercolor vibe to them, but I couldn’t get over how much I liked the pictures. I think page 99, the otter and the background, was my favorite picture. The pictures are just so lovely.
It really stuns me that those words were dropped from the Oxford Junior Dictionary. I would have never thought those words would just not be “good enough.”
Overall, there is a beauty in this book you need to see. Experience the whimiscal-ness of this book and enjoy it.
